Bitossi Ornaments Made with love and attention. Ornaments, Statues. Traditional manufacturer. I have been playing with an art that has been in my family for many generations.

This art goes back to the Image makers of Italy. In 1875 my Grate Grate Grand Father Antonio Bitossi left Italy and headed for New Zealand his profession was an Image Maker. Things weren't too good in 19th-century Italy, sculptors and mould makers would employ a few locals and travel selling their statuary. These travels took them all over the world. s an Artistic Stone Masson. Antonio had a number of sons, he taught them all the art of Mould making and statue casting. That passed down until little me was sitting watching my Grand Father and Father showing me their skills. Dad passed in February this year, as you do I was sitting and running my memories. I got one of his old statues out, then the next minute I had about 20 of them sitting around me and Clay, Hemp, Gelatine, Plaster, Gypsum and paint going everywhere. I started up a page called Bitossi Ornaments. Recently a swan was found near Toowoomba under it was inscribed Bitossi Bros Brisbane. My Grand Father and his brother.
