Kidz Foodz Inc. was established in response to requests from the community and the food and hospitality industry to develop an early intervention program to address poor eating habits and malnourishment, while also increasing education and awareness among primary school-aged children on the nutritional value of food. It also provides a platform to raise awareness and opportunities for children to see the diverse career pathways available in food, from farm to restaurant plates.
As such, Kidz Foodz is committed to working in partnership with schools, employers, farmers, community groups and the training sector to custom build a community response to improve wellbeing.
Our collaboration model contributes to the social, health and economic opportunities for disadvantaged children across South East Queensland, through partnerships with key schools in the region.
Through various government funded programs, and in partnership with RTOβs, Kidz Foodz also provides nationally recognised training to those wishing to gain employment in the Hospitality Industry. This training is proudly funded by the Queensland Government through its Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
Community Work Skills offers tailored assistance to disadvantaged Queenslanders to gain nationally recognised skills and vocational qualifications up to a certificate III level.
Work Skills Traineeships offer disadvantaged Queenslanders employment for up to six months on public works, community, hospitality, retail and environmental projects.
