Look at this beautiful layered bowl created by one of my talented students at She’s Knots Studio.

I love the movement in this piece, with the layered textures and gorgeous earthy blue and brown tones. The glaze has travelled from the outer edge in towards the centre, creating a beautiful sense of movement and depth

Today I’m finishing off this 56cm beauty at She’s Knots Studio.

I started her on Thursday CeramX School of Clay & Glass and it’s always amazing to see how a piece changes as you work through the process.

She’s definitely not finished yet, but I’m loving where she’s heading.

I’ll share the finished piece when she’s ready.

Trying something new is always more fun together.

Today one of my students wanted to experiment with something she hadn’t done before — painting with underglaze. So I decided to join her and explore some new effects too.

One of my favourite parts of working with clay is that there’s always something new to learn, test, and create. Sometimes the best ideas come from simply being curious and giving something different a go

Now we wait to see how these pieces transform after firing.
