So look closely at the photos and ask yourself:
Where are hinges? "Hidden!"
Where is the outside frame bulking up the window? "There isn't one!" It's not needed (With PVC you must always have a frame)
How come there is only two panels across this wide window or doorway? "Because it's timber!" PVC shutters are limited to 750 mm as plastic deforms in the heat, and that means the supplier will fit three panels ( without telling you), whereas DIYShutters engineered wood can go to a whopping 1050 wide for each panel.
Where is the Mid Rail? "There isn't one" Just a clean look. (Again with PVC, long panels must have a mid rail as otherwise they will contort)
You can do these shutters as kits also. Ones you assemble ( again we have made is easier than an Ikea kit) and paint yourself for about 40% the cost of new shutters. Or we can supply pre-painted kits for 60% the cost of new.
