Briseis was a bright, talented, deeply creative soul — the best daughter and the best of humans. She was
kind, compassionate, joyful, and generous, with a deep love and appreciation for animals and nature. Although her time was short, she lived a very full life, always up for an adventure, learning something new, and bringing joy to those around her. She was an artist, clothing designer, jewelry maker, singer, dancer, academic scholar, and world traveler. At age 23, she passed from a rare cancer, leaving behind many beautiful creations. A LEGACY OF CREATIVITY AND COMPASSION
In her final days, we had several deep conversations where she questioned if her life’s purpose had been fulfilled. I reassured her that art was her gift to the world and her purpose was to bring generosity and joy through creativity. Her legacy now lives on through gifts that give back. Every item we offer features her artwork and is designed by me. This is my way of honoring her life and her beautiful spirit. A MISSION PROMISED
People often said Briseis and I were like twins. We shared clothes, mannerisms, and a deep passion for helping animals, people, and the planet. Over the years, we rescued animals together and volunteered for environmental causes. And sadly, we both experienced cancer. These three missions, caring for animals, protecting the earth, and supporting those in need, have always been close to our hearts. Until her last breath, Briseis put others and the world around her first. In those last hours, I made her a promise to continue this work in her honor. It is a privilege to keep that promise by giving back, with a portion of sales going to animals, the environment and cancer research, through her beautiful gift of art. OUR LOGO
I created our logo with intention, love, and Briseis’ own touch. It was important to me that I used her handwriting, so the letters you see are truly written by her. But the 'B' is extra special. Briseis was known for drawing hearts on everything, and one day it occurred to me, a heart turned on its side looks just like a B. (I know Briseis helped me with that one.) I combed through her art to find the perfect heart. And now, it’s the beginning of Briseis Gifts and the heart of everything we do. MORE THAN A GIFT SHOP
