These were for Emmy’s First Holy Communion, soft white and blush pink, crosses wrapped in olive branches, doves with their little sprigs, trailing bows, and Emmy’s name pressed into a ruffled plaque ✨

Can we talk about how sweet this turned out? 🥹🤍

A couple of weekends ago I teamed up with the lovely Lauren from THROUGH LAURENS LENS - PERTH PHOTOGRAPHY for a smash cake session, and I’m still not over it 🥹

She styled the dreamiest neutral setup under the trees! The little timber rocking chair, tassel garland, that soft sage balloon, and I brought along a simple cream buttercream cake with a pale yellow “One” topper to sit right in the middle of it all 💛

And then the birthday boy did exactly what smash cakes are made for. Two hands in, fingers covered in buttercream, vanilla sponge everywhere. Pure joy 🎂

I was fully booked. Completely. And then this request came through, a Midsummer Night’s Dream birthday cake, and I just… couldn’t say no 🌼

I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. The naked layers, the daisies tucked into every seam, the blueberries scattered like they grew there. It felt less like decorating and more like building a little piece of an enchanted forest 🫐✨

Birthday girl was so happy, and honestly? So was I. Some cakes you finish and move on from. Some you keep looking at. This is one of those 🤍

Boots, beers & 30 years for Blake! 🤎

Latte buttercream, gold + cowhide balls, little cowboy hats, and that beer jar pulled straight from the invitation 🤌

This big daddy deserved a big cake, and we made sure he got one 🍺
