The grass is losing its vibrant green and moving into its autumn, the trees are starting to turn yellow, orange and red, and the lavender is being trimmed to sleep for the winter.

It’s a beautiful time on the farm and although the pop of spring and summer colour is gone, the views, cosy fire pit and warm welcome all remain.

Let’s see what the cooler months will bring ❄️

It’s almost time for the winner of our giveaway from last year to get married 💒 🙌🏻 and it’s got us reminiscing about that time when we had the stunning Suz from come and create the most dreamy and boho-garden vibing table-scape that Stevie Nicks herself would be envious of! Added that to the whimsical and pastel, secret garden inspired 🙌🏻 florals created by the gorgeous Hannah from and it was a MOMENT.

And all of it photographed by Mel from who is just an absolute gem of a human and seems to capture magical moments, happening in split seconds, forever.

🌸 Picnic & Posy 🌸

Settle in among the blooms with your picnic rug or favourite chair, gather your people, and enjoy live music, lawn games, and the simple pleasure of being outdoors.

Open your calendars and pencil us in! We would LOVE to welcome you during this years Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers.

We know it’s early, but with how quickly time flies at the moment, Spring will be here before we know it.
Now, early spring means that most of our lavender will only just be waking up from its winter sleep and with that in mind, we’re about to plant our first patches of pink and white everlasting daisies that, Mother Nature willing, will be ready for picking on the day.

We know the cost of everything is through the roof at the moment, so we’ve tried to make it a super affordable way to get out with family and friends to enjoy a bit of sunshine and the Back Paddock farm serenity that all our visitors have come to love.

Date: 27 September

Cost: $5pp & kids under 5 free
(pick your own bunches TBA)

Times: 1st session 9-12 ✭ 2nd session 2-5

Live entertainment: (morning) & (afternoon)

BYO: Picnic rug, chair, cushion, snacks.

Grazing boxes will also be available, for pre-order, from when you purchase your ticket!

There will also be a coffee van on site with the lovely and another surprise that we’ll reveal later!

Link to the website is in our bio and you can purchase your tickets under the ‘Picnic & Posy’ tab. Thank you to our website magician

Well behaved dogs are welcome to attend but please keep them out of the lavender rows and be sure to pick up after them 🐶

This week the mornings have stolen every show.

March mornings are the sweetest kind, a little cooler but not so much that it’s a chill. A little later but not so much that you miss the early hours. A little bit damp and misty but not enough to make the dirt stick, and that just adds to the magic anyway.

Soon winter will wrap us in a blanket of frost, so I hope you’re out enjoying these gorgeous March mornings while you can. They’ll be gone sooner than you think and with all the things going on in the world, it can’t hurt to get out and touch a little extra grass.
