💜 Mum-Day Monday 💜

Welllllllll Dalby... you certainly know how to put on a show 🧵🪡

A HUGE thank you to the Dalby Quilters for a fabulous weekend
beautiful quilts
teeny tiny stitching
oodles of talent
plenty of chatter
with the bonus of a whole lot of fabric temptation thrown in for good measure...

We packed it in
set it up
played shops for the weekend
then packed the whole shebang back into the van again 😵‍💫

BUT while we were happily surrounded by quilts and fabric...

Our Fireys were out doing the hard stuff 🚒

In one of the hottest September blasts we've had in a while
they were out there protecting properties communities' animals including each other...

To every Firey and volunteer who pulled on the gear in THAT heat...

Now...

Dalby is unpacking itself from the van, whilst doublin down to repack for the upcoming...

Laidley Uniting Church Quilt and Craft Expo ...

the shop is getting put back where it belongs, kinda sorta maybe...
and I'm fairly certain the fabric has multiplied while we were gone 🤔...

Nearly Fri-YAY...

and the little fabric menagerie appears to be multiplying while nobody is looking 👀

a kitty with her trusty sidekick...

Apparently fabric just isn’t happy staying flat anymore 😂

So while we’re closed today
the critters are holding the fort
the fabric is behaving itself...

Mum-Day Monday 🦉🧵

Well...

THAT was a Sunday/Funday...

The Urban Owl BOW crew were back, taking over the Retreat, where things got a little stitchy...

Hand stitching
Machine stitching
Free motion doodling
Pinwheels spinning in every direction
with a whole lotta colour finding its way onto those Urban Owls...

Some techniques were mastered...
Some were negotiated with...
Some may require another coffee, chocolate, did I mention caffine... ☕😂

Buttttttttt...

Just look at what is starting to grow on those boards...

Flowers blooming
Owls watching
Houses appearing
Pinwheels multiplying

Somehow while we were busy cutting, stitching, chatting, creating...

WINTER packed its bags...

Today is officially the LAST DAY OF WINTER... 🎉
