We popped out to the Meander Valley Vineyard on the weekend while the sun was shining and autumn was putting on a stunning show.

Crisp country air, a warm fire crackling away, and a friendly dog there to greet us made for a pretty nice place to visit. We found ourselves drawn to the shelves lined with coloured bottles of wine, all of them looking tempting enough to take home.

But in the end, a bottle of Rosé came home with us to enjoy later, and we're certainly not complaining about making that decision.

If you're looking for a relaxed spot to spend an afternoon, this little corner of Tasmania is well worth a visit.

Wombats have always been a crowd favourite around here.

We have actually made nine of them, which are located all around different locations in Tassie.

These particular wombats live at the BIG4 Caravan Park in Launceston and have been hanging around there for quite a few years now.

If you've ever driven down the Southern Outlet into Launceston, there's a fair chance you've spotted them out of the corner of your eye. They're one of those things that once you notice them, you start seeing them every time you drive past.

Tasmanian native hens have a way of moving through the garden, or across the road RIGHT in front of your car, that’s hard to ignore.
Its a bit awkward, a bit hurried, and always looking like they’re late for something.

This small flock of turbo chooks captures that perfectly, each one in its own stride, mid dash across the lawn.

This is the only set we’ve made, and the only one we’ll be making.
