Did somebody say Xmas trees? Janet and Mark have been busy in the workshop producing a selection of Xmas trees featuring a rustic theme. Plenty of similar products that people have grabbed off Etsy or by watching a YouTube video. What sets these apart is that they are all made from reclaimed timber featuring from left to right Spotty Gum decking, Silky Oak and Pine.

All materials are sourced from the Gympie area and are milled in or workshop to make each of these unique. Even timber defects are kept visibile and featured in each design to make each one a unique handmade gift rather than a mass produced knock-off. Sizes range from 150 high to 350 high and prices depend on the size and level of customisation.

Small Xmas trees, single micro LED lights and oil finish - $30
Medium Xmas trees, Baubles, LED lights and natural satin varnish - $40
Large Xmas trees, baubles, LED lights and stain/varnish finish - $45
Colour painting (satin white, forest green, gold texture) + $5.00 per piece

Finishes are done with either timber oils, stains or paints and decorated to the customers requirements. Further personalisation such as laser engraving a message can be included at an additional cost. More photos to follow of the painted trees shortly.

Xmas decoration creation is in full swing. This year we are featuring minimalist Xmas trees in three sizes (250mm, 350mm and 450mm high) using reclaimed and recycled Timbers. Designs come in Merbau, Spotty Gum, Gympie Messmate and Silky Oak. Finishes we offer include Osmo oil, staining or painting with a satin varnish to seal painted designs.

This is example is 350mm high using reclaimed Silky Oak and has been finished using an Osmo oil finish. This is heading off to a very special client who has downsized and doesn’t have a Xmas tree this year.

Our latest commission is a handmade rustic house sign created using reclaimed Gympie Messmate which is known for its rich grain, warmth and durability. The unique grain pattern with this timber means that every sign is truely one of a kind.

This was finished with black matte lettering and sealed using a gloss sealer to highlight the timber grain and several insect holes present in the starting plank were featured in the design to give a strong rustic feel to the sign.

A very different commission for unique table name sign for a rustic black tie wedding. The unknown timber came from the property where the couple were married and each table name is a different paddock name from the property. This was finished off with a single bridal table sign with the name of the bride and groom.

This was finished with black matte lettering and sealed using a gloss sealer to highlight the writing against the timber grain and unique features such as cracks were left in the design to give a strong rustic feel to the sign.
