Words have escaped me. The utter beauty of this moment is more than I could have dreamed of.

There has been an influx of "floral bags" trending everywhere, but I was curious to see what it would look like using delicate native florals. A design that was true to my style. That gave a softer and wilder style. While not perfect our bouquet bag has been transformed into something beautiful. And I love it.

Kate, Twig and Fawn Photography has captured something truly special. This moment is iconic.

Added bonus I was able to revive another gown I designed back in 2021 for this special moment and it looks divine.

It's beautiful to think that in 2021 I designed this gown from left over silk tulle, silk chiffon and beaded lace I had sitting in a box. A sample to have available if I ever needed it.

Fast-forward to 2026 and the moment to shine appeared, rather unexpectedly. Creating beautiful florals that matched the softness of the gown was what I had always dreamed of. Both dress and florals brought a lightness, natural and a little sense of ethereal to the style.

When I design, it is always more than the florals. I want them to be a character within the story. Taking into account ALL the other elements; the dress, styling, hair, make up, venue.

Then to have someone like Kate from Twig and Fawn Photography to capture the moment so beautifully, with the same vision is pretty special.

I'm obsessed and so excited to see this dress have its moment.

Goes to show that when you understand your style it can really transcend through the years.

Did you know that when people ask for a native flower bunch, many of the flowers included actually originated in South Africa?

Yep, it's true.

King Proteas, Protea Ice, Leucadendrons and Blushing Bride are just a handful of the stunning blooms we've received this week.

While these flowers originated in South Africa, they thrive in Australian conditions and are now widely grown by incredible Australian flower growers. That's why you'll often find them mixed alongside Australian natives in bouquets and arrangements.

It's one of those fun flower facts that surprises a lot of people.

Did you know this already?

The beautiful Aussie native blooms in this arrangement include: kangaroo paw, wattle/acacia, banksia, woolly bush, hakea and wax flower.

Sometimes an afternoon of creative play and designing feeds the soul. I ordered some incredible Australian and South African native florals last week. Creating this floral bag was so much fun. Is it perfect? maybe or maybe not, but it allowed me to just create for me.

It's soft, wild and a tiny bit whimsical.
