Thanks to our own legend Elaine, for the Grenfell Gunyah's window display which perfectly captures the legend element of this year's Henry Lawson Festival theme, "Larrikins & Legends", celebrating Grenfell's own Clare Hunt. From local football fields to the world stage, Clare's journey is the very definition of a modern-day legend - proof that country determination, family support, and hard work can take you to the very top.

A huge thank you, also, to the Hunt family for loaning the Grenfell Gunyah the wonderful collection of memorabilia for display.

Please wander down the bottom end of Main Street and check out Elaine's imagining of "LEGEND".

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Biggest Morning Tea at the Grenfell Gunyah today.

Whether you donated, baked, bought raffle tickets, shared a cuppa, or simply stopped by for a chat — your kindness and generosity helped make the day such a wonderful success.

Together, our community once again showed the true meaning of locals supporting locals. Every contribution will help support people affected by cancer through Can Assist Grenfell and vital cancer research through the Cancer Council. Final figures have yet to be tallied, however approx. $1000.00 was raised for the Cancer Council, and around $500.00 will go to Can Assist Grenfell (final figures will be announced next week) - a wonderful effort for all involved.

A special thank you to our amazing Grenfell Gunyah volunteers, and everyone who contributed food, raffle prizes, and their time. We would also like to sincerely thank the Cotter family for their wonderful support of the event — it was greatly appreciated.

We also remember with love and gratitude Marie Cotter, whose idea and passion for volunteering, inspired this event.

Thank you, Grenfell, and the wider community — your support means so much. 💛

Congratulations to our Raffle winners, the draw was made by the children of Marie Cotter - Rodney, Brent, Craig and Tina.

1st Prize - Sylvia Butcher
2nd Prize - Peter Butcher
3rd Prize - Mary Stokes
4th Prize - Clive Rassack
