Travel, overnight bag. Made in colourful cotton fabrics. Size approx 48cms x 30cms. External pockets on either side. Can also be made in other sizes.

Useful for multiple purposes. Pictured is latest bag made in autumn tones. My name is Dorothy McCorkelle and I have been sewing most of my life and have been making quilts & sewing patchwork for many years. My children learnt to count using a tape measure! I am married and have 2 sons & a daughter, 2 grandchildren, 1 girl & 1 boy. I live in Griffith NSW, on small acreage, a dynamic rural town in t

he Riverina. We grew pistachios & apricots & now have native trees planted. Most of my quilts are given to family members, others have been commissioned and also some have been donated to various causes. I enjoy sewing & creating crafts and it also keeps me busy in retirement, ( I worked in administration), meeting some wonderful people along the way. Recently I started going to local markets again with my crafts. I make several types of patchwork bags and styles, using 100% cotton that can be sourced to where it was grown. Fabrics are sourced from Small businesses Australia wide. Other projects I make are, small colourful quilts (various sizes & prices) some I quilt myself others I send to a machine quilter. Congratulations to all at Toganmain today. Supporters, market stallholders(me being one) and general public, who attended. The volunteers, who are doing a terrific job towards restoring this iconic Shearing Shed, buildings etc. So that others can gain so much enjoyment and knowledge from here.

My first post for 2026. Happy New Year to all. Stay cool and safe.
Whilst no markets this month I have been quietly sewing some new projects. Bags featured can be used as a travel/overnight away stay, or more practically a nappy bag. New food carriers in two styles circular and rectangle with wooden handles. Both are suitable for carrying hot or cold foods of your choice. Some great new fabrics have been used also. Currently at a local Open Garden whilst our Spring Fest is on and The Orange Sculptures are on display in Banna Ave. Other local crafts people also at garden.
