The Gunning Patchwork Weekend is coming up again this June, and we’re inviting local businesses to get involved! Each year we welcome 60+ quilters and makers to Gunning, and we love showcasing the fantastic businesses in our region.
If you’d like to contribute a flyer, discount, small gift, or promo for our participant goodie bags, we’d love to hear from you. It’s a great way to reach visitors who explore, shop, and support local while they’re here.

Lovely event today to dedicate a new park bench in memory of Creative Gunning member Ros McLoughlin.

The new bench, situated outside the Post Office, will carry a plaque in memory of Ros, who died after a battle with cancer in December 2024.

Ros’s two sons, Sean and Ryan McLoughlin, were able to be at the event to dedicate the bench and the afternoon tea afterwards in The Picture House Gallery.

The Gunning Garden Club used funds raised by Creative Gunning to purchase and install the bench.

Ros was a very strong advocate for Creative Gunning, the Gunning Garden Club, as well as many other local community groups and activities. We are delighted that her community spirit can be celebrated in such a practical way as a beautiful sturdy bench for community use.
