There’s a misconception about small artworks being less work to create — but they require the same attention to composition, light, and atmosphere, and can often be trickier because there’s no room to move. Every mark has to count.

SOLD! I’m so thrilled to announce that my original painting, ‘Casterton’, has been collected by a wonderful couple who have long supported my work 🤍

This painting is a love letter to the landscape of the Western District. It was really painted directly from my heart, and love for it.

This work is the hero piece of ‘Arcadia’. In my novel, Canvas, in the opening pages, is a Spanish proverb — ‘sheep have golden feet, and their footprints turn the land to gold’. I wanted to paint something that reflected both my life on the land — and my awe for it.

As someone originally from the city, I could never have conceived the peaks and valleys of farming — I’ve certainly lived both — but on a sunny day in spring, the jaw-dropping beauty and abundance of this landscape makes us all remember why we live and love it here.

I’m couldn’t be happier that this special artwork is going to a home that will love it so much, and I hope that as part of their home, it will bring them much joy, memories and meaning of their own. SHx

Limited Edition ‘Arcadia No. 1’ Candle — a scent especially crafted as a companion to the painting collection, that takes you to each of these views. A spring-like scent with grass, hay, basil, fig and floating top notes of gardenia and peony.

So thrilled to officially launch my new collection, ‘Arcadia’ on Saturday! Swipe through for a peek into the studio and some of the works.

Our main workshop and gallery space — thank you to my husband, Pete, for being the best all-round handyman and hanging our beautiful new (reclaimed) doors, barn doors, and drilling and covering every hole imaginable. It was so special to have this room full of people & be able to welcome the public in!

Our converted radiator repair centre into the gorgeous art studio it is today - you would never have known it was dirty orange brick underneath! We will continue to open the studio — if the white flag is out, pop in!

The hero piece of the collection, ‘Casterton’ had so much love — we’ll be launching Museum Editions and fine art prints, further announcements to come over the next week!

One for our New South Wales audience — ‘Hinterland’, a view towards Byron Bay. Will also be available in prints!

Over the weekend we celebrated Georgie’s 30th birthday in the studio with an afternoon of painting ceramics, which was a huge success with loads of chatter and creative play.

Great excitement today at Hope & Co. HQ!

Our frosted window sticker arrived and was installed — doesn’t it look fabulous!? ✨✨✨

The studio is feeling really alive with the 3 of us now working here — we are now joined by Georgie’s very talented marketing whizz husband, .christie who is now our Head of Content & Digital Srategy. Please give him a warm welcome in the comments! 👏👏👏

He’s going to keep us on the straight and narrow 🤣 fabulous at running meetings, and brought so much energy and care to the work he does here.

We’ve adjusted our sails & can’t wait to show you alllll we’ve got planned, bringing you more & more Australian made art & design that you’ll love to live with. 🤍

‘Wild Ocean’ is a work of epic proportions — both in the journey to complete it, and the literal scale of the work (one of my largest to date, measuring 1.5m x 1.5m).

Offering prior to my formal collection release soon, as it’s the only seascape, in a sea of landscapes.

You can almost smell the ozone from the spray …

This painting is full of movement, layers, impasto and expression.

It depicts a patch of wild ocean, you can remember from your childhood.
