After more than A YEAR! … they’re finally back 😍💥

Freeze Dried Nerds Gummy Clusters in VERRY BERRY have officially made their return and I’m a little bit excited about this one 😂

Crunchy, ridiculously colourful and absolutely packed with that Nerds flavour — these were always one of the favourites, and I honestly wasn’t sure we’d ever have them again. Mind you, I can only make them if I can keep buying them so let’s hope they stay in stock!

But here we are 👀

If you know, you KNOW. 😩😂

Remix and Minties are two of the most notoriously stubborn lollies for me to freeze dry.

And it wouldn’t be quite so painful if they were easy to prep… but NOPE. Every single lolly has to be individually unwrapped, laid out on trays, loaded into the freeze dryer and then run for around 10 HOURS.

Only for me to open the machine and discover…

🪨 ROCK HARD. And I mean rock hard!

And after all that unwrapping, tray loading, machine time and waiting… straight into the bin they go. 😭

So you can imagine the excitement when I took a gamble on a DOUBLE BATCH of Remix AND Minties…

AND THEY BOTH WORKED FIRST GO! 🙌🎉

It’s the little wins in freeze-drying 😂

And these ones are looking GOOD. 🤤🍬✨

✨ EXCITING NEWS, IT’S ALL HAPPENING BEHIND THE SCENES! ✨

We’ve been very busy in the background getting ready for something completely new… and next week we’re picking up our Italian-made pasta machine! 🇮🇹🍝

Soon we’ll be bringing you a beautiful range of bronze-cut pasta, made locally in small batches.

But what actually makes bronze-cut pasta different?

Traditional bronze dies give pasta a rougher, more porous surface than the super-smooth pasta you often find on supermarket shelves. And that texture has a very important job, it helps your sauce cling to the pasta instead of sliding straight off. And you get this amazing chewy texture 🙌

The result? Pasta that grabs onto all that delicious sauce and makes even a simple pasta dish something special.

We’ve been choosing some seriously fun shapes too, and they are getting shipped from Italy right now, from the familiar favourites to some you may never have tried before. 👀

There’s still plenty happening behind the scenes before we’re ready to launch, but we couldn’t wait any longer to share the news.

A little behind the scenes in my tiny kitchen 🍭✨

Lots of colourful, crunchy goodness being made, packed and ready to head out to our lovely stockists! 💕

Now the next challenge… finding room for some exciting NEW equipment 👀😂

Things are really growing around here, and I’ve realised something funny… the name “Sugarlicious” doesn’t quite fit where this little venture is heading anymore 😅 but honestly… does it really matter when the journey is this fun? 🍬💗

I’m so excited to see where things go next!

I went out for dinner the other day and had the most amazing homemade pasta. I’d forgotten just how good proper pasta can be!

I came home thinking I’d buy some, but trying to find anything similar here was actually really hard unless I made it myself.

I’ve been looking for another product I could make from my council-approved home kitchen, and I think I might have come up with an idea.

Small batch, locally made pasta in some of the really interesting shapes that are so hard to find here.

What do you think? Who loves pasta? And especially all the weird and wonderful shapes you don’t normally see in the supermarket?

Photo is just an example of the sort of thing I mean. I’m open to making all sorts of pasta, but I’m particularly interested in the more unusual shapes that are harder to find.
