2 beautiful finishes from Maureen in Wednesday class. Hazel Blomkamp's Jacobean Design No. 13 and a replica of the Devereux Bodice from the 1600s on display in Japan. Incredibly, this goldwork piece is based entirely off of images from online. Absolutely stunning work as always from the ever talented Maureen!

We are delighted to announce the winners of the People's Choice Award of the EEE 2025
It was a close race, with 4th & 5th place tied between 7 people! We have more photos of some of the favourites to come, as well as more details on our winning pieces.
And now, onto our well deserved winners!

1st Place:

3rd Place:
Tibetan Girl by Rusalana Idolovich

All three pieces are remarkable in their own ways, and the variety of techniques displayed between them is a perfect encapsulation of the submissions we received. Some of these techniques are classic favourites, while others are modern and experimental. We feel truly privileged to have to displayed these extraordinary works of heart ❤️

What a fabulous start to our Extraordinary Embroidery Exhibition 2025 raising money for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation.
Lots of beautiful things to see, bargains to buy and goodies to eat.
Two more fun filled days, Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November 10am to 4pm.
Bring gold coins for the guessing competition and for flower making to decorate our tree of life.
There will also be silent auctions, stitching demonstrations and bargains galore.
Cash preferred, card accepted but fees apply.
Come and join us, we look forward to seeing you there.

There is excitement building in the air as our special guest tutor Jenny Adin Christie will soon be arriving from England. Last week we were delighted to host Helen Richman (The Bluebird Embroidery Company) for 2 fantastic workshops! Helen is a talented, revered artist, but we learned she is also a wonderful teacher and a lovely soul 💜 Helen designed 2 Australiana projects based on paintings by Perth artist Tom Montgomery - a group of bee-eaters and a koala in a eucalypt. Both workshops were an absolute joy, we had to celebrate with a cheeky glass of bubbles. We can't wait to have Helen back in the future!
