Me and Grandma Sewing Lovingly created by 8 year old Isla and her Grandma.

- Bowties
- Facemask Isla and her Grandma love to sew.

The art of sewing has been in the family for generations and now it's Isla's turn to carry on the tradition. She loves her weekly lessons at Grandmas house and the family often wake to the sound of the sewing machine, as Isla sneaks in a couple of hours before school (and then after school).

They carefully select the colours & spend hours weaving the threads in & out, back & forth to create them.

✨️Isla has some exciting news!✨️
A local shop in Huonville is now stocking her handmade items 🎉✨️
Sunday just gone was a solid 5 hours of sewing for Isla to build up her stock levels. Her little brother Hunter helped by cutting & ironing the fabric ready for Isla to sew. Each scrunchie is sewn by Isla on the machine, and then the finishing stitches are all done by hand with a needle & thread.
Her attention to detail is exceptional & each one made with precision & care.
She was determined to work hard all day because she wanted to ensure there's plenty of choice for when you drop into Wren & Wolf to purchase something handmade by her with love.

Wren & Wolf is a cafe & retail space in the Huon Valley.

Shout out to the ladies in at Whitey's Shearing Shed! 👋 The team there have always supported Islas creativity & little business.
We were back in again today to drop off an order of headbands.🙌
Isla's been absent on here since we got back to Tasmania at Christmas time.
Early this year she got picked for the State Karate Team & trains every Sunday - which clashes with most handmade markets. 🥋🤜
She still has plenty of headbands & scrunchies in stock & we hope to do a market soon.
