Lyrebird = Steiner inspired products 'STEINER' inspired toys, art and craft supplies, books etc - with an emphasis on developing the imagination and creativity.

Mostly made from natural materials, with minimal packaging Lyrebird stocks a surprisingly large range of Steiner inspired products in our little shop. We source local, mainland and European items with an emphasis on quality, natural materials and items to stimulate imaginative play. We distibute in Tasmania for Mercurius Steiner school products, Honeybee toys, Winterwood craft materials, Sugar Plu

m craft kits, Sunshadow handmade slippers, and stock many more small makers of handmade craft, wooden toys, etc
When you drop in, if the shop is not busy we are always happy to teach you simple skills such as how to fingerknit, twist wool rope, blanket stitch etc. If you are stuck in the middle of making a Steiner doll, dont be embarrassed to bring it in for advice - "its never wrong, it's just unfinished"

Inspired by this time of falling and fallen leaves, mushrooms a popping up, where fairy folk surely dwell.
It’s worth bringing children for a closeup look to find the little scenes hidden amongst the leaves.

In 2 weeks the annual festival begins. The Lyrebird window display is in planning stage.
🍁 Q: does anyone in Hobart or Huonville direction currently have or know of a tree with large bright red Autumn leaves on a tree?
I need about x50 if possible that I can press and preserve (send pic in pm if you do)
🍂 We have done something special in the window every year since the start (I think around 2018 the Hobart windows began?) with the exception of 2020 the darkest year, the year of no celebration.
