Happy Spring everyone! And it’s certainly come early here in Tasmania, catching me on the back foot with my flower seed sowing which I’ve started 3 weeks earlier than usual.
Here’s a montage of what’s starting to flower in my Pontville garden. There’s masses more tulips and daffs to come but at the same time the summer lillies are already popping up!
Looks like we’re in for some rain this week and we certainly need it! However the sun is out this morning making today a perfect Days Of Summer drop in day.

More Spring colours today with this half wreath and a little patch of naturalised daffodils in my garden. It’s typical blustery early spring weather this Saturday with blossoms chasing each other down Rattle Street out of my window. Open until 3 today.

Thought it was time I took you on a (whirlwind) little tour of the shop, including the back rooms that a lot of people don’t have time to check out!
Happy Thursday!

Good morning! I’m getting this feeling that there’s no stopping Spring now in the garden! I absolutely love this time of year, when the first blossoms and bulbs are flowering and everything beautiful is still to come over the next 6 months or so.
My sister Beth was down for a day yesterday and we had fun making these flowerballs on a natural grapevine base. Definitely will be making more for the shop!
Open Wednesday to Saturday 10-3. See you soon!

I’ve been having fun the past couple of days making strings of bunting using beautiful Cambridge Imprint papers glued over paper string. The colours and patterns are so lovely- bright yet somehow muted and vintage like their stunning cards.
I have five bunting strings available in store now, or you could try making your own by buying a pack of their craft papers which are excellent value and very sturdy.
