A charming couple came in to buy a floor lamp and enjoyed some time looking and discussing options. Finally, they chose the last of my Mirka Mora Ma Vie lampshades and with it a gunmetal-sprayed traditional base. A very clever combination. As they walked out with their purchases I heard the lady say excitedly "John, this is the most beautiful thing I've ever bought!". Wow! I love my job.

A bit much? Maybe, but it's gorgeous. I've photographed it badly because it's one of those lampshades that is sort of squashed. It looks wide but it isn't as deep. It would be good on a narrow hall table, for instance.

There will be matching shorts, but today has been a bit busy - delivering furniture, attending our granddaughter's Athletics Carnival (she's nearly 4), chatting with customers, friends, family...and so I only got the Not Hawaiian Shirt done.
This set will be a Small size, with the shirt measuring 55cm across, and NO pockets because there wasn't enough of the cloth left. Sorry.

This pair of bar stools is quite discreet in the combination of black textures. They measure 67cm high to the seat and have the clever design feature of the foot rails, which makes me think they are from a superior design factory. Very atomic and smart. $650 for the pair now.

It's time for a furniture clearance at Shalldesign. This very lovely chair with its magnificent chrysanthemum design by Zoffany is now available for $1900, reduced from $2900. Very generous, comfortable, and it dates from 1973, it said on a stamp underneath.
It's not-matching mate is also available for $1500. It's covered with a striking and unique Robert Moore fabric.

Pure Spring! This Not Hawaiian Shirt is created from a notveryhuge tablecloth that was from my mother's linen cupboard. I'd say her grandmother, Nanny Ferguson, embroidered it, which makes it pretty ancient. The linen is very strong and I've added a bit of vintage Irish linen to augment the sleeves. It's a cropped style, because that's all there was!

Orrrr... if you prefer a long short, this is a pair made from yet another embroidered linen tablecloth remnant. The embroidery is pale grey on off- white linen. I used the maximum available to make these the longest they could be. There are pockets, of course, and they are about size 14, and generous knee length, very loose fitting.
