A little business. A little baking. And hopefully, a little more good in the world. 🤍

For the Petrusma Property AFL Ladies Lunch, I was incredibly proud to donate two Just A Little More gift vouchers one for a dozen cupcakes and one for a custom cookie set to help support Speak Up! Stay ChatTY and Tassie Mums.

When you run a small business, every order, every ingredient and every hour matters. We don’t have enormous sponsorship budgets or big marketing departments behind us but we do have the ability to contribute in the ways we can.

And for me, being able to turn something I make in my little Hobart kitchen into something that can help raise funds for two organisations doing such important work in our Tasmanian community is pretty special.

Because sometimes being a small business isn’t just about what you sell.

Sometimes it’s about what you can give. 🖤

Another fun and nail biting footy tipping season done and all year it comes down to this.

One ground.
Two teams.
One cup.

Purple on one side. Maroon on the other.
And somewhere between the first bounce and the final siren, hearts will break, legends will be made, and one team will walk away immortal.

Sometimes you get an order, and sometimes you get the chance to create something that didn’t exist yet. 🤍

For the Petrusma Property AFL Ladies Lunch 2026, I was given the opportunity to design this set from the ground up, my interpretation of Ladies Lunch meets AFL.

I wanted it to feel elegant before it felt football. Soft blush, champagne, black bows, touches of gold and florals, with the game quietly woven through every piece.

From the champagne glass and trophy to the guernsey and football, each cookie was designed to belong to the same little story and seeing them all together for the first time was pretty special.

Even the packaging became part of it. To me the finishing touches deserve just as much thought as what’s inside the box.

Very proud to have had Just A Little More be a small part of such a beautiful event, supporting Speak Up Stay ChatTY and Tassie Mums. 🥂

Designed. Baked. Detailed. Boxed. All by hand, right here in Tasmania.

Sometimes, two cookies take four hours.

Yesterday I was designing a set and what I could see in my head just wasn’t translating onto the cookie the way I wanted it to.

So I tried again.

And again.

Fourteen attempts later, I finally had two cookies I was happy with.

Could I have stopped at the first two? Absolutely. They were probably perfectly fine.

But “perfectly fine” has never really been how I work.

If something doesn’t sit right with me, I’ll keep changing it, remaking it, tweaking the colour, adjusting the design or starting all over again until it does.

And that’s the part of handmade cookies that people don’t always see.

Before a cookie ever reaches its box, there’s sourcing beautiful ingredients, planning the design, making or buying cutters and stamps, mixing, rolling, baking, colouring fondant, decorating, hand painting, drying, heat sealing, labelling, boxing… and then cleaning up the kitchen afterwards.

Sometimes there are also fourteen versions that never make it into the box at all.

So when you see “just a cookie”, there can be hours of work, thought, frustration, creativity and a ridiculous amount of care sitting behind it.

Yesterday, four hours became two cookies.

And I’d probably do it exactly the same way again.

Because if I’m putting my name on it, I want to love it too. 🤍

This lovely client has trusted me with more than one special occasion now and somehow that feels even better than the first order.

Beautiful cookies are one thing. I want them to be the cookies you remember, the ones you talk about afterwards, and the ones you come back for when there’s another reason to celebrate.

Wildflowers scattered across fondant, tiny details tucked into every piece, and a baby shower set made to feel completely its own.

I love the kind of order where a theme becomes more than a colour palette, it becomes a whole little story on the table. 🤍
