Carlton St Candles Artisan candles and room mists with a vintage vibe hand poured in Hobart. I’ve enjoyed making candles for about 5 years now. Thanks for visiting my page!

It’s a lovely mindful time where the room fills with delicious scents and my mind slips into the rhythm of careful melting, mixing and pouring. Over the years I’ve used all sorts of vessels to make candles but never wine bottles which have such a lovely warm glow. Over the past few months one thing led to another and my lovely husband has mastered the art of cutting and carefully sanding wine and

beer bottles. While it’s not a new concept to recycle bottles into candles they are harder to come by as attempts would drive most people slowly insane! My husband is a patient man (my mother would agree!). Once the vessels are ready, I hand pour the candles with this amazing creamy soy wax which burns just perfectly with excellent scent throw (meaning you can smell the candle when you walk in the room!). The label is inspired by our home on Carlton Street. The leaves on the label are from the golden elms which run down the centre of the street. I love gazing out the window at them as they catch the light. Please note the bottle candles do have imperfections as they are handcut and repurposed.

I’m yet to meet someone who doesn’t love our Tasmanian Bush fragrance. Lemon myrtle. Pine needles. Eucalyptus. It’s a scent for all seasons and any occasion, which reminds you of the wonderful island that some of us are lucky enough to call home ❤️.

So chilly in Hobart today! And look at that snow on Kunanyi - what a beauty! We have our very own candle with all the snow vibes (ozone, vetiver, heliotrope). Invigorating as a snowball in the face 😂. Link in bio under Winter Bundle ❄️.

Huge thanks to all the amazing humans who turned up today to support me and all the local makers today (including my lovely neighbour stall holders!) at the . Your enthusiasm and support is wonderful and makes it all worthwhile. My emotional support chicken also really helped 😂. Let’s do it all again tomorrow Sunday 19 July, 10-4pm at PW1 Hobart.

They specialise in sculptural candles and candles showcasing reclaimed glass in collaboration with local wineries and distilleries. All their candles are hand-poured in small batches, and made from 100% coconut soy wax and cotton wicks, using luxury fragrances that fill a room.
