🍔 Mini burgers for tea tonight! 🍔

Today was all about Blake 💙 A few appointments, a Maccas lunch date 🤣 and a discussion on the drive into town about what we should have for tea!

His suggestion? Mini burgers just like the ones I had in Bali Mum!

Once we got home, I made some homemade mini burger buns while the boys cooked the burgers, giving me a chance to squeeze in some more study 📚

Fresh homemade buns, the boys helping in the kitchen and dinner sorted without too much fuss! 🙌

It's not always about making fancy meals. Sometimes it's the simple family dinners that hit the spot! ❤️

🥚🐔 DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN FREEZE EGGS?! ❄️

A little tip from our place! 🐓💚

The other day, I discovered some eggs hiding in a secret nest that the girls had been keeping to themselves! 😂🥚

Rather than let them go to waste, I put them to good use!

🥚 First, I float-tested them in water. Fresh eggs generally sink, while eggs that float may be old or spoiled, so it's best to discard those rather than risk using them.

🥚 Next, I cracked the eggs into large ice-block moulds.

🥚 Once frozen solid, I popped them out and into a freezer bag, ready to use when our girls decide to take a little break from laying! 🐔❄️

Less waste, more savings and eggs ready when we need them! 🙌

🍜🔥 What’s cooking in the Thermie tonight?

Tonight we’re trying the Creamy Carbonara Fire Ramen from the SkinnyAsia 2 cookbook! 😍

I love finding new recipes to try, and this one sounds like the perfect combination of creamy comfort food with a spicy kick! 🌶️

Who else loves discovering new recipes to add to their weekly dinner rotation? 🙋‍♀️

🍽️ Keeping Sunday night tea simple! 💚

Rissoles cooking away on the BBQ, steamed veggies, creamy mashed potato, pumpkin and sweet potato mash… all finished off with a generous helping of homemade Thermie gravy! 🤤🙌

Not every meal needs to be fancy to be delicious! Sometimes it’s the good old-fashioned family dinners that hit the spot. ❤️

And you know I couldn’t resist getting the Thermomix involved somewhere! 😉💚

🍞🥖 I'm a day late, but let's talk BREAD! 😂🙈

Apparently, yesterday was World Bread Day… and somehow, between work, study and making Christmas cocktails 🍹😉 I completely missed it!

Better late than never, right?! 🤣

So, in honour of all things doughy and delicious, I thought I'd share one of my favourite bread-baking hacks! 💚

💡 Struggling to get your dough to prove, especially when it's cold?

Living in Tassie, we know our kitchens aren't always the warmest places! 🥶

My little trick is to pop my covered dough in the microwave with a cup of boiling water to create a warm, humid environment. No need to turn the microwave on just let the warm air do its thing!

Alternatively, pop your dough in the oven with a tray of boiling water to help create a warm spot for proving. 🙌

It's a handy trick when the weather isn't playing nice and you're hanging out for that delicious homemade bread! 😍🍞

Tonight was all about getting together with some of the Southern Tas Thermomix Consultants to check out and play with the new Ovana 360 Pizza Oven! 😍

The standout feature? A self-turning pizza stone to keep that pizza moving while it cooks! 🙌🍕

I love getting opportunities like this to explore new kitchen gadgets, learn something new and share the excitement with my customers.

Because cooking isn't just about what's happening in the Thermomix bowl… sometimes it's about what else we can create in the kitchen too! 💚
