A bit of excitement in town this morning 😅

** Update 1/09/26 ** Following last week’s unplanned water interruption, further repairs are required to the water main. Water supply will be temporarily turned off in parts of Howard from approximately 9pm on Wednesday 2 September, until 3am on Thursday 3 September while these repairs are completed. Residents in affected areas have been notified and are encouraged to store enough water for essential needs before 9pm.

** Update 4pm 27/08/26 **
A temporary repair has been completed and water has been reinstated to customers. Customers in the impacted areas might experience dirty water over the next few days. If this occurs, we recommend that an outside tap be turned on to run for several minutes until the water is clear.

💧 UNPLANNED WATER INTERRUPTION – HOWARD
A water main has been damaged in Steley Street, Howard, causing an unplanned water interruption. Council crews have isolated the main and repairs are underway.

🔹 Howard township: Water supply is currently being maintained from the Howard water tower, which was filled to capacity before the main was isolated.
🔹 Several properties along Old Bruce Highway and areas around Belmont Park will be without water supply until repairs are complete.
🔹 Burrum Heads: Water supply is being maintained, however residents may experience lower than usual water pressure while the area is supplied from Toogoom.

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank residents for their patience while repairs are completed as quickly as possible.

A while back I decided to start walking 2-3 miles a day to improve my health.
I am up to 2.75 miles 5 times a week. :)
Yea me!!!!

I needed some motivation to keep me going. Hmmmm...what could it be??
Oh, I know!!!! Jelly rolls!!! For every week that I achieve at least 2.50 miles 5 times a week......guess who gets a jelly roll??!!
ME!!!!! I am on a ROLL :) :) for the month of August!!!
Here are the jelly rolls for the last 3 weeks. They are so pretty!!!

It was our absolute pleasure to have a visit from the Mountain Quilters from Peachester this morning ✂️🧵🪡

The group also enjoyed Devonshire Tea just a few doors up at our local Howard QCWA with some delicious scones.. yum yum 😋
