Etchmaster Australia I started Etchmaster Australia as I have a passion for creating and working with my hands to take raw materials and turn them into useful or beautiful objects.

I hand make mostly home décor and small furniture. In particular I like working with mandalas and multilayered designs as they have such intricate patterns and I enjoy seeing them come to life once painted and framed. I hand make every piece of my products in my workshop. I start with raw timber and mill it down to the size I need for the project I’m building. Then, depending on the piece I’m crea

ting, I either stain, paint or seal the timber. From there I start building the frame or the table and while I’m working on these parts my laser cuts the fine, detailed layers. Once the laser is done cutting the detailed layers I then glue each layer to the next to create one solid mandala inlay for either the frame or the table. Working with natural timber ensures each piece is its own individual artwork with no two being the same.

Another custom order rolling on out of the workshop. This was a fun one! It's a gift for a 60th birthday for someone who is cycling mad!

I added the "LX"(Roman numerals for 60) in the spokes as a little nod to the big milestone.

Custom gifts like this are perfect for people who could buy themselves anything they really wanted for their birthday.

We make the process of designing the piece easy and enjoyable and our clients are involved the whole way from concept to collection.

Sometimes I even get pictures of the lucky recipient receiving their gifts sometimes which is always a proud moment for me.

I'm always proud to stamp my work as it leaves my workshop. It's always the last thing I do, it's my signature, my quality check process. If I'm not proud of what I have made for a customer, it doesn't leave my workshop until I am.
