Its been quite some time since I posted and with views to my page increasing - I need to let you all know what is going on.
About 10 months ago I had an accident that resulted in breaking a bone in my hand. Initial medical intervention went awry and surgery was required. Unfortunately surgery was unsuccessful and actually made issues considerably worse.
I have constant pain in my hand and am unable to grasp or write properly. Crafting, golfing and all things I used to enjoy that required use of my right hand have ceased. This physical impairment has also had a psychological impact culminating in severe depression and a feeling of utter worthlessness.
I have been appointed a new specialist but with all of the physical complications of the injury, surgery and subsequent management -added to the time that has now passed, he has stated there may be nothing that can be done surgically and the ongoing deterioration and malformations happening will continue over time resulting eventually in partial amputation.
So, it is with sadness that I advise that I will NOT be returning to markets in 2026 and may never return at all. Only time will tell. In the meantime I’ll try to focus on improving my mental state and rehabilitation whatever form it comes. I will also touch base again when I know which path my medical care takes.
