Sometimes the perfect piece simply doesn't exist... if you can't buy it? Build it

When we were asked to create 12 wooden floral boxes for the Round Mountain Living land release, there was just one catch — they needed to be a specific size, natural timber, and this was something that couldn't be bought off the shelf.

So we headed to the workshop.

Every box was measured, cut, assembled and finished by hand before being transformed into floral displays for the event. We love projects like this because they remind us that creativity isn't just about the flowers — it's about finding solutions, making things from scratch, and bringing a vision to life.

A huge thank you to the team for trusting us with such a unique project. We loved seeing these custom-made pieces become part of the event styling.

After all our flower deliveries today we had the chance to create some interesting custom peices.
One was a wedding horseshoe for a beautiful little old lady who couldn’t find one anywhere. For those that don't know wedding horse shows are given as a symbol of protection and good fortune to newly weds.

The other was a set of cowboy boots for a surprise gift being flown all the way to Hawaii. 🌺✈️

Different pieces. Different stories. Same care and custom gifting.

We love creating one-of-a-kind keepsakes that feel personal, thoughtful and completely made for the person receiving them. The kind of pieces that carry memories long after they're received.

I’ve spoken to many people and seen so many posts lately from small businesses saying how QUIET things are right now… and honestly? We get it.

Floristry can feel seasonal.
The economy shifts.
Algorithms change.
People spend differently.

But one thing we’ve learnt at Honey Button House is this:

You can either sit in fear… or you can create.

When things slow down, we don’t stop caring for our community.
We don’t stop showing up.
We don’t stop looking for ways to bring beauty, kindness and connection into people’s lives.

We adapt.

Maybe it’s workshops that give people a chance to slow down and create.
Maybe it’s gifting options for someone doing it tough.
Maybe it’s finding new ways to celebrate birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and everyday moments.

Because flowers have never just been about flowers.

They’re about comfort.
Connection.
Celebration.
Grief.
Joy.
“I thought of you.”
“I’m here.”
“You matter.”

And people will always need that.

One of the biggest lessons we’ve learnt in business is that you can’t wait around for perfect conditions before you try something new.

You can change the display.
Change the offer.
Change the pricing structure.
Create bundles.
Collaborate with locals.
Host events.
Do giveaways.
Make people smile.
Start again tomorrow if today felt hard.

There is always something you can do.

A business built with heart will always find ways to grow — even if growth looks different in different seasons.

Winter teaches us to slow down, not give up 🌿

A little surreal to say this out loud… but myself and Honey Button House have officially been named one of the Logan Legends. 💚🐝

What started as a tiny dream built on flowers, community, and a whole lot of heart has grown into something we could have never imagined. From wedding mornings and workshop laughter, to sympathy flowers and random acts of kindness… every single moment has been made possible because this community continues to show up for us.

To be recognised alongside so many incredible people and businesses in Logan is such an honour.

Thank you for supporting the wild ideas, the late nights, the flower overloads, the emotional deliveries, the workshops, the events, and the little shop beside Coles that somehow became our second home.

This recognition belongs to our whole Honey Button family — our team, our customers, our couples, our community. We see you, and we appreciate you more than words can say.
