Today's the day! Darling Scarp Artisans welcome you to the historic Kalamunda Agricultural Hall for a wonderful experience. Buy locally handmade art and craft items directly from the makers. Talk with the people who have made the item you are purchasing with their own hands, with skill love and care. We have a huge variety of items for sale. You may also purchase light refreshments and barista made coffee and sit in our little cafe area. We have a plant stall, & raffle tickets to be in the draw for a hamper of goodies made by our artisans.
It's going to be a great day, we are looking forward to meeting you :)

As well as the regular gang at Darling Scarp Artisans we invite guest artists to join us at our events. We are delighted that Joyce from Gemini Star Jewellery is exhibiting her shiny sparkly things with us again, and Christine is bringing her beautifully decorated tiles. Olya is bringing embroidered bags of various shapes and sizes which are practical and beautiful - love that! And welcome back to lovely Lena who used to be a regular and is joining us again with her pretty sparkly things. We also have Annie bringing her lead lighting work, Anne with her handmade children's clothes, Women Working With Wood (aka WWWW) with a selection of small wooden items, a selection of handmade goodness from "The Wagon" at Kalamunda, and maybe even whittling with Erik.
We would love you to come and meet our guest artists and have a chat with them about their work.
Darling Scarp Artisans Exhibition & Sale is on this weekend Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 November 10am-4pm at Kalamunda Agricultural Hall on Canning Road - look for the big neon sign on the verge.
See you on the weekend :)

Gary (not Harry) makes mostly functional pottery, apart from mice to decorate your cheeseboard, which are purely decorative, maybe even frivolous, but definitely cute! Choose from cups, bowls, platters, dishes, & vases in a variety of glaze colours, and earthy finishes. My favourites are the pit fired pieces (See 3rd photo top shelf).
You can see Gary's work and choose your own favourite at the Darling Scarp Artisans exhibition & sale this weekend Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 November 10am - 4pm at Kalamunda Agricultural Hall on Canning Road. Parking is both plentiful & free, with entry from either Canning Road or Recreation Road, and entry to the event is free. (Look for the big neon sign.) We have light refreshments for sale including barista coffee (yay!), and space to sit down to contemplate your fabulous Christmas purchases. Here you can avoid the shopping centres, avoid imported goods, and deal directly with the maker of what you are purchasing. Everything for sale at our event is handmade locally. Please come along and support your local artists and craftspeople. We look forward to meeting you.

Helen A is one of the long standing members of the Darling Scarp Artisans group, from when we were known as Gooseberry Hill Arts and Craft Group. She has taken a strong leadership role in driving our events, while producing amazing amounts of diverse products to sell. She makes dream catchers, candles in tea cups which are beautifully presented and very popular - 2 gifts in one, and her wall hangings are a a sight to behold, incorporating many different materials.

Come and meet Helen A and our other artisans this weekend at Kalamunda Agricultural Hall on Canning Road, next door to Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre. Entry to the free onsite parking may be accessed from both Canning and Recreation Roads. Entry to the event is free. Refreshments may be purchased onsite, and you may sit in our little cafe area to contemplate your purchases. A great relaxed and personal vibe awaits you as you do your Christmas shopping directly from the person who has made it. Everything for sale at our event is locally handmade, no imported goods available. We also have raffle tickets for sale so you can be in the draw for a hamper of goodies donated by our artisans. One prize hamper each day.
Only 5 more sleeps! We would love to see you at our event.

The hard working lady behind the quirky bird houses at Darling Scarp Artisans is Carol. She repurposes cast off pieces of picture frame mouldings and other materials to make these adorable pieces. They are suitable for under cover on a verandah or similar place. Save materials going to landfill while you buy something really special. Carol also makes bee hotels, and other wooden pieces. Her friends from "Women Working with Wood" will also be present at this event. I'm excited to see what they have have produced.
Meet Carol and the other Darling Scarp Artisans this coming weekend (only 6 more sleeps!) at the Exhibition and Sale at Kalamunda Agricultural Hall on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November, 10-4 both days. Entry is free. Ample free parking available on site with entry from Canning Road, or Recreation Road (the easier option).
See attached flyer for more details.
