I haven’t posted for a while as there’s been a lot going on, but I’m super excited to announce that I’ll be teaching a ‘Learn to sew’ course at the Kalamunda Community Learning Centre in August and September!
Some of you may know I used to teach sewing and dressmaking at when I lived in London, but stopped when I became a mum (and since moved to Australia). This will be my first time teaching a sewing class in more than 6 years, and I’m really looking forward to it.
The Kalamunda Community Learning Centre was founded in 1977, and it’s such a great place. All the tutors volunteer their time, knowledge and skills, and the venue hire is subsidised by the local council, so all the courses are affordable and accessible for all. I have done a great ‘Handy Persons’ course there last year, where I learned lots of DIY skills, and made a wooden toolbox (which I use for my gardening tools).
I just checked and saw that all 6 places have already booked up on my course (enrolments opened a few hours ago) and I’m looking forward to sharing my joy of sewing and making with these 6 people 🥰
Watch this space as I’m looking into running more sewing workshops and courses in the future. ✨
