For one last time:
As many of you are already aware, yesterday was officially our last day of trade.
Locking the door and flipping the sign to CLOSED, for the final time, was.. a very emotional moment.
We embraced and shed a few tears while looking back at the empty display units, which only over a week ago, were absolutely bulging with glorious stock, our hopes, and our dreams.
From looking forward to Christmas sales, to suddenly knowing that we weren't going to make it to Christmas day has been a rollercoaster ride of shock, anger, sadness, and exhaustion.
But in saying that, it has been a wonderful last week of trade. The outpouring of love and gratitude from our amazing customers and community has us feeling overwhelmed and honoured to know that we have made that much of an impact on you all.
We truly can't express how much that means to us.
How wonderful it has been, that over the past 5 years, we have seen relationships with customers and fellow business owners go from acquaintances, to friends, and then further into family. It has been a pleasure to get to know you all. ❤️
There are not many times in your life you can say that you loved what you did for a living, but both us can truly say that in this instance, we really did.
We loved our jungle, we loved our shop, we loved our community.
We didn't choose to close, and your feelings towards what has happened has helped us walk out with our heads held high.
We didn't fail, our journey just ended earlier than expected.
So with all that said, this is thank you and farewell, and may we meet again soon.
Love,
Rainer and Dean.
P.P.AM.
P.S. We do apologise in advance, because everyone in the district will be receiving a plant for Christmas!
Sorry, not sorry 💚
