Life has been a bit different lately. In the short term I have the privilege to spend most of my hours awake rock climbing and painting. I have been living a dream, able to be creative as much as I can. I was formerly trained as a science researcher and educator. I am passionate to combine the natural world with art and science to communicate philosophical ideas with visual art. In this modern ag

e, there is so much preoccupation in day-to-day life. Its difficult to notice the beautiful things around us. My dream as an artist is to use images and words to illustrate the colourful and wonderful world. Using ink, watercolour and colour pencils, my work infiltrates real-life objects into an imaginary setting. I also experiment with patterns created by simple lines and shapes, and creates intriguing atmosphere by blending and contrasting bright opposing colours. Using these skills I work to visualize logic and connections, creating networks between abstract and reality.

Josito - Geyikbayiri climbers home

Lets get together for a party-
We can sing and dance and smoke and drink,
share past and future and our goals and dreams

This year we are in Yangshuo for Xmas and new years. Somehow I reminisce about the Xmas/NY celebrations at Josito in Geyikbayiri in Turkey. What a beautiful and peaceful place to be! It's a place filled with different personalities: geniue people and crazy souls!

I had so much fun doing this piece. I tried to illustrated the atmosphere near the restaurant at camp. It is just such a cozy and warm and welcoming place. Filled with interesting good conversations! Our stay there was a mind opening experience, packed with love and lessons. I would love to go back there one day!

Yangshuo's dreamy landscapes of karsts and rivers

It's difficult to capture how the soft sun beams through the mountains and the rivers.

There has been a few set backs in Yangshuo but I guess that's just life. So happy how this place give me inspiration to create and paint. I'll miss it.
