My biggest challenge so far I repaired this old boy s few months ago below is his story.

The story is basically what I said.
He was taken away one night when Bruce was asleep. When he woke he was told he didn’t need him anymore and he had gone to another child. Bruce searched the house for two weeks without finding him. He had to accept he had gone.
Then when his father passed away after his mother a few years earlier Bruce and his younger brother were in the garage of his parents home cleaning out cupboards. At the back of a cupboard in a corner of the garage was a box. Bruce’s brother pulled it out it was damp. He opened the box and said to Bruce what’s this ? Bruce took one look at it and he said he knew straight away it was his teddy. His brother is ten years younger and so had never seen teddy.
They packed several removal boxes and teddy went in one to come to Sydney. We thought we remembered seeing him in Sydney being unpacked and put back in the removal box. Several months later we looked for him but couldn’t find him.
Not long after his brother came to Sydney and I mentioned that we couldn’t find teddy. His brother said I think he’s in my storage unit in Melbourne. When he returned to Melbourne he looked and sent us a picture and it was teddy. We don’t know how he got to the storage unit. Bruce’s brother brought him up on his next visit to Sydney.
I decided to see if I could get him restored and found Kay Cooper and The Teddy Bear Hospital in Perth. I contacted Kay and explained the situation.
I sent her pictures of Teddy not looking too good. Kay decided to take on the challenge and fix him for us. A somewhat daunting task. He had been missing for around 60 years and had been through three house moves with my husbands parents.
So we received him back again fully restored and there was great excitement as we waited for my husband’s birthday to return his teddy to him. This has now happened and he is back home again after several journeys.
