I’m still in disbelief 🤩

I’d been thinking about entering the Jackson’s Art Prize for a couple of years, and in January 2026 I finally took the leap ,not expecting much at all. To my absolute surprise, I’ve made it onto the Extended Longlist!

Out of 16,280 entries from 110 countries, only 4,200 artists were selected for the extended list, and I’m one of them. I’m beyond grateful, proud, and honestly a little overwhelmed.

This definitely calls for celebrating tonight with a well-earned glass of bubbles 🥂

Jellyfish 🪼

I’ve been enjoying painting something a little different from my usual British wildlife artwork recently. I’ve been diving into painting jellyfish, and it’s truly been my happy place over the past couple of weeks.

I’ll definitely return to painting nature-inspired artwork, but for now I’m going to explore sea creatures for a while and see where it takes me.

🌲 Violet Forest and Golden Wings 🌲

A slow start to the year, finished this piece I began in November 2025. Taking my time with it has left me feeling refreshed and ready for what 2026 brings.
I’ve been really enjoying how watercolour elements add depth and texture to my work, and it’s something I’m excited to explore more moving forward.
