The best design decisions are rarely the loudest.

They’re in the details:
shadow lines,
finish depth,
the feel of a handle,
the way materials meet.

The small things people interact with every single day.

At Faucet Strommen, those details are never accidental.

Australian Made Week feels is an important reminder that how and where things are made still matters.

For nearly 25 years, Faucet Strommen has continued to design and manufacture in regional Victoria, staying closely connected to the craftsmanship, materials and people behind every piece.

Inside our Kerang workshop, components are machined, polished, finished and assembled by skilled local makers who care deeply about quality and longevity.

Over the years, we’ve continued investing in:

✓ Regional jobs
✓ Advanced local manufacturing
✓ Durable, lead-free materials like UltraBrass
✓ The people and processes behind every product

We’re proud to continue making locally and grateful to be part of Australia’s manufacturing story.

The law finally caught up with us 😉

Victoria just changed the rules on drinking water safety. We changed ours years ago.

On May 1st, Victoria changed the rules on materials used in contact with drinking water. For much of the industry, it meant making changes. For us, it was reassuring to know our products were already where the standard needed to be.

Every Faucet Strommen component in contact with drinking water is made from UltraBrass; our lead-free copper alloy developed not because regulators asked, but because we believed drinking water deserved better than technically acceptable.

What sets UltraBrass apart;

- Health-first. Less than 0.002 ppm of lead, critical in hospitals, schools, and aged care where water quality isn't negotiable.

- Antimicrobial by nature. As a copper alloy, UltraBrass actively inhibits bacterial growth within plumbing systems.

- Beyond the baseline. Superior strength, durability, and precision that exceeds the new standard, not just meets it.

Already compliant. Already proven. Already ahead.

No updates needed. No uncertainty in your specification. It's simply the path we chose long before the regulations asked us to.

We promised you the kitchen 🖤

Where the French countryside meets the Australian farmhouse.

The Chittering Chateau is a masterclass in blending the warmth of a French farmhouse with the ease of modern living, and our Cascade range in Antique Brass Light fits right in. Each piece carries its own character through a brushed texture and rich tonal variation that only gets better with time.

One of the great joys of this work is watching architects and designers fold our pieces into a vision of their own.

Rye Cave House, on the Mornington Peninsula and featured on Grand Designs Australia, is a recent favourite. Built to Passive House standards and carved into the landscape, the home pairs recycled concrete walls and rescued Oregon ceiling boards with internal gardens, rooftop plantings and a naturally non-chlorinated pool.

Our Pegasi collection in brushed chrome has been specified throughout. Against the raw concrete and warm timber, the finish picks up the filtered light without competing for it. A softer read than polished chrome, and exactly the context we'd hoped it would find.

An invitation we won’t forget.

Mancini Made , luxury architectural builders, recently took us through a heritage cottage by the sea in Williamstown. A luxury renovation nearing completion, and our first chance to see some of our pieces in situ within the architecture.

Our finishes are, by their nature, always in conversation with their surroundings. Raw brass beneath a brushed or antiqued surface reacts to everything it meets. Salt air (and there's plenty of it in Williamstown), humidity, the touch of hands. Tones deepen. Edges soften. High-touch points gently lighten. No two pieces age the same way, because no two homes ask them to.

What we loved here was the way the room seemed to seep into the metal. The greens and rust veins of the marble, the warmth of travertine, the quiet notes in the wallpaper, all finding their way into the finish. Picked up, held, returned.

More to come when the project is complete. Thank you to the team at Mancini Made for the generous welcome.

We’re proud to collaborate with one of Melbourne’s leading building companies known for delivering luxury homes and apartments.

At Faucet Strommen, we’ve been designing and manufacturing premium Australian-made tapware and fittings since 1999. Quality, craftsmanship, and innovation are at the heart of everything we do, and it’s exciting to see our fixtures featured across Mancini Made’s exceptional projects.

Recently, we interviewed Dom from Innovative Plumbing on-site at Mancini Made’s Esplanade project, discussing the quality of our fixtures, the craftsmanship, and the value of supporting Australian-made products in high-end builds.

When you’re building at this level, every detail matters and we’re honoured to be part of projects that share our commitment to excellence.

Proud to work with builders who value quality, precision, and Australian craftsmanship.

We’re thrilled to share Gooch Street Residences in Thornbury by .

From the outset, this project aimed to do more than follow a familiar multi-residential formula. The result is two homes with their own identity, each generous in feel and shaped with real attention to how people live.

Stone and tapware played a central role in the interior direction early on, giving the material palette its foundation. Our brushed Terminus Copper finish brings warmth, texture and richness to the spaces, sitting alongside the bold stone in a way that feels distinctive and full of depth.

A project with a strong point of view, and one we’re incredibly proud to be part of.
