Someone's eye for colour is another person's centrepiece.

This artisan sat with dozens of colours and decided, thread by thread, exactly how much of each one this rug needed. Peach here, a touch of turquoise there, red pulled back just enough to let the charcoal breathe.

A skill she didn't pick up overnight, and it shows.

Peacocks, cranes, deer, even a camel, all woven into one field. This one’s less a rug and more a whole scene, an entire yard of animals caught mid-story, in soft grey and beige, with warm terracotta figures throughout.
