WE ARE HIRING:

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic self-motivated individual to work in our Kingston store in a Warehouse Co-ordinator role.

The Warehouse Co-ordinator is responsible for the day to day running of the warehouse including receipt of goods inwards, the preparation of jobs for installation and the management of subcontractors to carry out the installations. The role will also involve deliveries to site and occasionally assisting with flooring installations.

The successful applicant will have:

- good communication skills
- attention to detail
- ability to work to tight deadlines
- a drivers licence (imperative)
- forklift drivers licence (an advantage)
- basic computer skills
- Hours/Days negotiable (Monday-Friday 7:30am-12:00pm, ideal but negotiable)

A home built from donated materials and labour has sold for $770,000 at auction in Sorell, with proceeds going to three children’s charities.

The property at 59 Spoonbill Loop was delivered over nine months by SJM Property Developments, with support from local trades and suppliers.

Funds will be shared between Variety Tasmania, Starlight Children’s Foundation and The Smith Family.

South Property’s Nick Cowley said the strong sale exceeded expectations and would make a real difference, while SJM director Sam Morse said the project was about giving back to Tasmanian families.
