The majority of the time our made to order pieces come in the form of names (and we have now done all the letters of the alphabet), but occasionally we are asked to make a bigger piece such as the horse shaped bridle hanger. Getting to make new designs is my absolute favourite part of my work. I love it so much!

If you don’t mind to watch for a little bit, I take the piece inside and show you the cut lines on the nose up close.

I don’t weld inside the fuller’s groove, so if you look very closely you’ll see where small pieces have been joined together to form the shape of the nose.

I don’t do any forging, it’s all done via cutting, welding and smoothing back the welds.
