Girgarre Markets have been cancelled tomorrow due to expected bad weather.

Due to the predicted weather forecast for this Sunday, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this month’s Girgarre Market.

This decision wasn’t made lightly. The safety of our stallholders, volunteers, and customers is always our highest priority. With forecast heavy rain and windy conditions, we have concerns not only for everyone’s safety but also for the damage these conditions could cause to stallholders’ stock.

Many of our stallholders travel long distances to attend the market, and rather than have them incur the cost and risk for what would likely be a very quiet day, we believe cancelling is the most responsible decision for everyone involved.

As a market run entirely by volunteers, we also need to consider the wellbeing of those who generously give their time to make each market possible.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support. We look forward to welcoming everyone back at our next Girgarre Market.

It has been a battle of a year. I have been slow to update and post most of the time. I cancelled one of the markets I attend so I could visit more.
Finally after hitting a milestone of 92 years our mother Janet Tuohey succumbed peacefully on the morning of Wednesday 29th July. She is now at rest. Love you and will miss you mum xx😢💔💕

I have a couple of weeks before the next market and have been slowly updating the website before reopening.

Just letting you know, I have currently put my website in holiday mode while I get stock ready for the Bendigo Australian Sheep and Wool Show. I will be back after updating products following the Show. The shop is only open for emails and just looking, no purchases can be made directly.

A little playtime today. Wangaratta spinners and weavers held a weaving round robin workshop today. I am proud to say I did a small pattern in overshot using some yellow yarn with linen. Very happy i was able to try it out..
Tomorrow i will be at Girgarre market for mother's day.
