The Heimur team spent last week making Windsor chairs under the guidance and wisdom of and . It was an insightful week packed full of practise and learning.

It’s left us both feeling inspired and curious. The world of Windsor is a deep rabbit hole, and I’m excited to have dipped my toes in.

Sliding dovetails on the backside of these doors for a built in Robe. These have been used for centuries to keep panels flat and avoid any ugly fixings.

The Ziggy Dining Table.
A design from earlier this year, one of my favourite pieces to make. There’s two tables here - the darker is reclaimed Brushbox timber from the Princess Pier in Melbourne. Almost certainly from old growth forests when it was milled. You can feel it in the weight of the timber, and how quickly it dulled my blades.

The lighter tone table is reclaimed blackbutt from a demolished Sydney Warehouse. Equally as dense and heavy. I love using reclaimed timber, and proving that reclaimed doesn’t have to mean rustic.
