A friendly reminder-
if you order a custom job from me, or ask me to repair a "very sentimental" piece, or a particularly large belt because nobody carries your size.... Please remember to do the right thing and collect the item and pay in full.
It doesn't happen often, but it sure leaves a bad taste in the mouthm
***Tips on what not to do: ***
- don't tell me you will come and pick it up "next week", every week for a year.
- don't block my number, communication is key.
- don't call me after leaving me hanging for 8 months and offer me half the price of the repair or job.
***Tips on what you can do to not be a d***:
- communicate. If you can't afford the full agreed amount l, let me know. We can do a payment plan, or even a trade. There is always a resolution possible.
- reply to my emails or phone calls and give me an update on your situation. I'm not megacorp, if something has changed and you simply can't afford it, tell me. Don't lead me on with "I'll pick up and pay soon" .
- if you order something, agree on the quote and the end result is as good as promised, pick up the product and pay in full.
Having said this, I have the following items going cheap. :
-;a restored Harley Davidson duffel bag (might burn this one actually - bad juju now)
- a supersized english bridle belt with Viking ship solid brass trophy buckle
- a premium leather Barber's strop
Thank you :).
Disclaimer: I'm just letting off some steam- 99% of you are awesome and I love making things for all of you. I don't generally take deposits because really this doesn't happen often at all and almost everyone does the right thing. But it always astounds me when it does happen. X
