I have had an ongoing art practice for many years, it has waned & been revisited but has never ceased, I'm always open to exploring new ideas & expanding my options. I have worked in a large variety of media but have always incorporated &/or returned to glass & fibre/textiles. My work is informed by feelings, the natural world, colour theory, shape & form. I endeavour to be waste free & use found/owned or recycled items. My handmade mosaic homewares incorporate glass components made by me as well as found objects & bought tile - tables, gazing balls, planters/pots, mirrors, coasters, frames & other interesting objects. I love to advocate for women, my textiles work focuses on giving plus-sized & petite women options for quirky, individual clothing that can't be sourced in the mainstream. I love colour & lots of my work incorporates interesting colour/pattern & texture combinations. My family is my proudest achievement, my creativity motivates me to dream & stay positive for them in this topsy turvy world we find ourselves in.
