Playing tourists in our own town for the weekend, with a stay at our very own Good Soul Cottage Good Soul Cottage & Soul Sister Cottage

It’s one thing to design a space but another to experience it as a guest. A weekend spent enjoying the cottage, taking in the finer details and finding a few opportunities to make a good thing even better.

If Launceston is calling, Good Soul Cottage is ready to welcome you. DM for direct bookings

Three days in Melbourne with , 10 designers and a very full itinerary of showroom visits, supplier tours and plenty of good food in between.
Behind the scenes factory tours, lots of product knowledge and a sneak peek at some very exciting new releases we’re not allowed to share just yet 👀

We spent time with , , , , .cioffi.unox.casa and — meeting the people behind the products, seeing how things are actually made and learning so much along the way.

There was also Michelin chefs, plenty of w**e, lots of laughs… and one convent walk squeezed in for a little balance.

Such a brilliant few days with a great group of designers, and safe to say have set the bar fairly high for future “work trips”. A huge thank you to Hilary & Kate and all of the suppliers who hosted us, shared their knowledge and completely spoilt us.

Still on a high from the KBDi Awards in Sydney last night! 🏆🥂 Absolutely stoked to take home Kitchen of the Year TAS AND Kitchen Designer of the Year TAS. So grateful for the recognition and to everyone who plays a part in bringing these projects to life.

And always a brilliant night with James Treble hosting, so much fun, as always!

Also, please enjoy the incredibly poor quality pics of Shane and me… 🥴 genuinely the best I could get!
Very grateful. Very stoked. What a night! Thanks KBDi for such a fab night!

Very grateful to have been named a finalist in this year’s KBDi Awards for both Kitchen Design of the Year and Bathroom Design of the Year.

A sincere thank you to my Outlier Project clients, who have trusted me over many years and many projects together. It’s incredibly rewarding to see this project recognised.

Looking forward to celebrating with so many talented designers in Sydney next weekend. Congratulations to all of this year’s finalists.

The Outlier, Living

With a space this big, it was all about creating moments within it.

Little nooks to sit, gather, or just slow down, all centred around the fire.

It still feels open, but a lot more lived in.

Set within the Cradle Mountain surrounds, this new project is guided by its environment.

Rich texture, warmth, and materials that respond to the landscape, creating spaces that feel both grounded and considered.

A little laundry nook, featured in .

Tucked under the stairs, but designed to feel like it belongs.

Smart storage, integrated lighting, and just enough detail to elevate the everyday.

The Outlier, Kitchen

This space was always about bringing people together.

A large, commercial style kitchen designed for everything from guest chefs to slow, shared dinners. The curved island softens it all and naturally draws people in.

The timber continues right through into the rangehood, with those hand cut orange tiles adding just the right amount of warmth.

And then there’s the volume, open gable ceilings and full glazing out to the Tassie wilderness.

It’s one of those spaces you don’t want to leave.

The Outlier.

A once loved family cabin, thoughtfully transformed into accommodation near Cradle Mountain.

Working again with long time clients made this one feel even more special. A shared vision that’s grown over time.

Rich timber, layered textures, and spaces designed to make you pause for a little longer.

A design I’m incredibly proud of and a project I’ll never tire of sharing.

What was once a forgotten, purely functional space is now a resolved, design led little laundry that works hard and looks considered. We kept the footprint and existing plumbing but reworked every detail. Introducing custom joinery, integrated lighting and a wallpaper moment that completely transforms the space. Proof that even the smallest spaces can elevate how a home feels and functions day to day.
