𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 & 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺:

𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲: Engage a qualified chimney sweep at least once a year, preferably in spring or early summer, to clean the flue.

𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝘀𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹: Remove excess ash from the firebox, but leave a thin layer (2-3cm) to insulate the firebox and help with lighting.

𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗱: Only burn dry seasoned hardwood to minimize creosote formation.

𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀: Periodically check the door rope seals for wear to prevent air leaks that cause inefficient burning.
