Nice mention today I really appreciate the kind words Cheers David.
Fired up the wood heater for the first time this year, only to fill the house with smoke and set the smoke detector off. Asked for recommendations for a chimney sweep on this group. Andrew Clark was the man most highly thought of. I messaged him at 6.15pm last night. He came to our house today(!) at 11.30am, thoroughly cleaned our slo-com heater, and provided us with lots of instructive and otherwise useful information. 1st class job at a reasonable price. Why go anywhere else? He's our chimney sweep now. Couldn't be happier. Five Stars.

G'day folks,
Pics from a recent job.
All blocked up. Burning your fire at a low temp for long periods, can result in creosote build up in flue and around cowl. Have an intense burn for 1/2 hour each day will assist in keeping your flue cleaner for longer.

It's a new record...
I got a call saying our guests lit the fire and smoked out the living room.
Not one unfortunately deceased possum but 3 yes 3 poor buggers smoked.
Had been in the flue a week before I got to it.
Hence no pictures attached and no hugs when I got home.
I still love my job 😁 Cheers

G'day folks, hope you're well and staying dry.
Huge buildup of creosote from a recent job.This chimney (open fire) jetmaster had an enormous amount sitting on top of the firebox and covering the internal smoke chamber. This has got extremely hot and started to bubble, potentially causing a chimney fire. Got to it just in time.

Allow a clear, unobstructed passage from the main entrance into your property through to the fireplace area.

Respect social distancing at all times during the visit.
