A New Chapter

After an incredible journey, The Cabin Lorne is becoming part of Bortolotto Interiors.

What began as a holiday cabin has evolved into a signature renovation project—one that reflects my passion for thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship and timeless interiors.

Bringing everything together under one brand allows me to share the complete story: residential interiors, renovations, design inspiration and the creative process behind every project.

The Cabin Lorne will always be an important part of my journey, and it will continue as a signature Bortolotto Interiors project.

The Cabin Lorne Renovation

The Cabin Lorne Renovation is an ongoing transformation that demonstrates how thoughtful design can extend the life of an existing home. Rather than rebuilding, the project embraces craftsmanship, sustainability and carefully considered interventions to create a home that is calm, functional and enduring.

Inspired by years spent renovating in France and a deep appreciation for natural materials, every decision has been made with longevity in mind. Timber, stone, black steel and rich navy accents combine to create a timeless interior that sits comfortably within its coastal landscape.

The renovation continues to evolve through energy-efficient upgrades, custom joinery, interior styling and landscape improvements. Each element is designed to enhance the way the home lives today while respecting its original character and ensuring it performs beautifully for decades to come.

More than a renovation, The Cabin Lorne is a living design project—an exploration of craftsmanship, sustainable renovation and timeless interiors that reflects the philosophy of Bortolotto Interiors.

Life, design and hospitality are not about adding more.

They are about understanding what matters and removing what doesn’t.

Over the years I’ve learned that the most successful spaces, meals and conversations share something in common: simplicity.

Not emptiness. Not minimalism for the sake of appearance.

Clarity.

A well-designed home doesn’t need more rooms. It needs rooms that work.

A memorable meal doesn’t need more ingredients. It needs quality ingredients prepared with care.

A meaningful life doesn’t need more possessions. It needs connection, purpose and time for the people who matter.

Today we are surrounded by noise, trends and endless choices. The challenge is not finding more. The challenge is knowing what to keep.
