The most recent bag off the bench.

Thank you to everyone who has been waiting so patiently on the waitlist. I’ll be knuckling down over the next few months and hope to have a range of bags to offer you between now and September.

If you’re new to the page and would like to go on the waitlist, please message the page to be added to the list. All bags and other items that become available are offered to those on the waitlist before being offered publicly for sale on the page.

I will be taking a short break between September and January as we welcome the newest member of our family, but keep your eyes peeled for the annual auction as I will still be making a bag for my Christmas fundraiser for Perth Children’s Hospital.

After the great result last year, I will be auctioning off another bag this year to raise money for Perth Children’s Hospital.

Please share to raise as much awareness as possible, and let’s see if we can top our donation from last year 🤞

Feel free to PM me if you’d like any info about the bag or some more pictures. This two tone beauty was made from the leather panel of an old english saddle and still shows the quilt stitching that was used to hold the flocking in place. The strap is made from a set of laced reins.

Exciting news! I’ll have a stall at the Collaboration Clinic this weekend (see below for link). There will be bags on display, including a sneak peek at the bag that will be coming up for auction at the end of this month to raise money for Perth Children’s Hospital, and I’ll be around to answer any questions you may have been burning to ask 😊

Shoutout to Ben from The Bullsbrook Hat Co for his fantastic refurbishment of my battered old Akubra. Rather than retiring my favourite hat, Ben was able to replace the sweat band, reshape and resize it and has it looking brand new again. I also have a custom hat band on order, incorporating braided horse hair from my own horses.

With a little love and a little hard work, it’s amazing how many old and broken things can be brought back to life again and saved from landfill.

It’s not every day you get to work on one of these beauties! This gorgeous old girl was on the bench this week for some repairs before the Perth Royal Show and what a pleasure it was to work on such a classic old saddle 🥰

Just off the bench - what used to be a Riviera Monaco with a warped tree and destined for landfill is now a versatile fashion piece with a new future ahead.

If you like this piece, please keep your eyes out as while my books are now full until the end of the year, I will be auctioning off another handbag at the end of the year to raise money in my annual fundraiser for Perth Children’s Hospital.

Today I was very excited to finally complete a handbag made just for me, and from leather from my own history. This bag was made from old fender leather, an old western blanket, split reins and an old button from a dear friend.

I’ve been wanting to make a two tone black and brown bag for a long time, to symbolise my love for both English and western riding and to bring together the elegance and simplicity of plain good quality leather, with the heart and detail of western tooling.

I’m so happy to be able to give the pieces of this handbag a second life and to have created wearable memories while reducing landfill.
