Well, we’re heading into Week 3 as the new franchise owners of MacGregor, and I (Jess) can honestly say it has been amazing welcoming so many of you into our showroom! 🥰

It’s also been very humbling realising just how much I have to learn 😂 There is SO much more to flooring, blinds and shutters than I ever realised!

Thankfully, I’ve got some pretty knowledgeable people around me!

Bernie, my partner and fellow owner, has been installing flooring since he was just 14. Now, with over 25 years of hands-on experience, there’s not much he hasn’t come across when it comes to flooring! Having that experience behind our business is something I’m really proud of — and yes, I’m constantly picking his brain!

Then we have James, our salesman, who has been with Solomons for nearly 10 years. Between Bernie and James, our customers are in very good hands. They’ve been helping people work through all the different options and find something that suits their home, their needs and, importantly, their budget.

You’ll also see Lanah on the floor Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. She’s new to the team as well, so you might find her welcoming you into the store, showing you around, helping with products or simply having a chat.

As for me… I’m learning every day, asking LOTS of questions and absolutely loving getting to know our customers and hearing about your projects.
We’re only three weeks in, but I’m already so grateful for everyone who has popped in, had a chat, trusted us with their home or simply wished us well.

Whether it’s flooring, blinds or shutters, we’re excited to help you make your house feel like home. 🤍

💜 Same family. Same familiar faces. A new chapter.

After many years at Solomons Macgregor, Bernie Snr and Karin are stepping into retirement and passing the family business on to the next generation.

We’re excited to share that their son Bernie Jnr, his partner and their family have purchased Solomons Macgregor, continuing the family business and building on what Bernie Snr and Karin have established over the years.

While ownership is moving to the next generation, plenty is staying the same. You’ll still see the same familiar faces and the same sales team in store, with the friendly, personal service our customers know.

Over the next few months, though, you’ll start to see something new. We’ll be giving the showroom a fresh new look, and we can’t wait to take you along for the transformation.

This isn’t the end of the Solomons Macgregor family story.

It’s the next chapter. 💜
