What is the value of flowers to you?
This question came up recently when I was reading a fellow florist’s pondering online.

How often have we heard lines such as “they’re only going to die” or “they just don’t last” as a reason not to purchase flowers for a gift? (If only we got a dollar each time we did 🤣)

But in comparison, many of us will happily spoil someone we love or ourselves with that expensive night out, that deliciously cooked steak or that weekend away. These things often last for a fraction of the time compared to a week or two of flower joy…so why are flowers often valued less?

Why do we hesitate to buy the flower bouquet that will last a week or more but will happily purchase the restaurant meal that will last an hour?

Obviously, we LOVE flowers but this even got us thinking & chatting about it & the different perceptions flowers often have.

So tell us, was there a time that you received or purchased flowers that the memory of them outlasted the flowers themselves?

What a beautiful day out on the Brightly Sunflowers farm today. Something a little different for Blossoms but it was so lovely meeting so many friendly faces!

Georgi has always had a soft spot for what we fondly call the ‘tutti fruity’ coloured arrangements, but we are all just gushing over this silk flower arrangement she created today.
