Tamica had a great time last Saturday at the The Build and Design Centre in Brisbane, presenting to the public on the topic of 'Design with Purpose'.

With the cost of construction constraining budgets it is an ideal time to reconsider what really matters, and for this to inform the design.

Many homes include rooms that exist simply because they’ve become part of the perceived formula for a modern home.

The BIG questions... like...
How do we spend our time?
What spaces bring us together?
What spaces give us a sense of peace?
What would genuinely make our daily life better?

Eight-time winner of the BDQ Best Designer Queensland award is coming to The Build and Design Centre in South Brisbane.

Tamica Lewis founded Tempus Design Studio Pty Ltd with a burning desire to shake things up in an industry that seemed content to colour inside the lines. Sixteen years later, she's the former President of Building Design Queensland and one of the state's most awarded residential designers.

Her practice is built on a holistic approach to building design, one that takes Queensland's unique climate and lifestyle seriously. She starts where most designers don't: with space, form, flow, and function before a single material is considered. Homes designed to work with Queensland's climate rather than against it.

Because the most successful homes aren't just beautiful. They're functional, comfortable, and perfectly suited to the people who live in them.

On Saturday 13 June she's sharing what that means in practice. How to design a home that genuinely reflects how you live, rather than what the industry assumes you need.

Free. One hour. 11am. South Brisbane.

Bringing all the Hayman Island vibes to Noosa... this project will be a resort you never have to leave home for.

The house wraps itself around a central swimming pool and all areas celebrate the natural views of the neighbouring bushland. Light and breezes flow into and around the home creating a living environment that is connected to the landscape it sits within.
